“You can and must understand Wikipedia now”

This lecture covers what Wikipedia represents in senses greater that make it greater than just a website

“Wikipedia as a Learning Management System”

During the pilot of the Wikipedia in Education program, we birthed the idea to adapt Wikipedia for use as a Learning Management System (LMS).

This lecture chronicles the history of the concept from nascent idea-germ to full-blow sanction Wikipedia integration. Explored are the problems solvedexplored such as technology trepidation, fighting ingrained academic taboos, and fostering a student-friendly allure. The talk further touches on what the Wikipedia Education Program’s implications are on a global scale, and what the audience could do to aid its success.
